UM FHS in cooperation with Zdravstveni dom Ljubljana, SIM center, organized an international summer school in September 2022 with the title: "Simulations in nursing education". The participants came from many countries, such as Slovenia, Croatia, France, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Lithuania. They met in the virtual part of the summer school, which took place before the participants arrived at the UM FHS.
Students learned about simulations of nursing skills, simulations on the topic of basic resuscitation procedures of an adult using virtual reality, and simulations with a high degree of reality in the field of emergency medicine.
The last day of the summer school was devoted to the presentation of videos on the topic of adult basic resuscitation procedures, which were created by students according to their own scenarios based on the latest adult basic resuscitation procedures guidelines. The best video can be found on the Facebook profile of the faculty.
Students also enjoyed many social activities, which provided an opportunity for professional, inter-university, and interpersonal networking. The organizers of the summer school not only offered excellent content to the students but also strove for an unforgettable stay in Maribor and Slovenia.
