The University of Maribor, Faculty of Health Sciences, is a partner in the EU4HEALTH project "Digital TRANSition and dIgiTal resIlience in ONcology (TRANSiTON)," coordinated by Prof. Dr. Andreas Charalambous from the Cyprus University of Technology and President of the European Cancer Organisation.
Researchers have developed a new education program to enhance the digital skills of oncology professionals across Europe. Every year, Europe records nearly 4.7 million new cancer cases and 2.1 million cancer-related deaths. Therefore, cancer management is a priority for the European Union, and the digital transformation of healthcare is a key aspect of this commitment.
As part of the project, researchers conducted a survey on the need to develop digital skills for providing better patient care and, based on the findings, prepared targeted blended learning modules. The focus areas include the current and future use of telemedicine, mobile health applications, and automated messaging to patients.
We would like to invite you to participate in this training program either as a Trainer or a Participant.
