Project description:

Families of people with cerebral palsy (CP) face numerous challenges, such as healthcare needs, financial burdens, social isolation, and emotional stress. Parents and caregivers often report a lack of information, insufficient support, and feelings of being overwhelmed. Comprehensive support for families — including education, counselling, and strengthening of social networks — is crucial for improving the quality of life of both individuals with CP and their relatives. The project focuses on developing support programmes for families in collaboration with experts from the Maribor Society for Cerebral Palsy.
