Short description 

The second cycle study programme Nursing Care – study option Nursing Care enables acquisition of more demanding forms of knowledge and ability to take on complex and responsible work tasks in nursing and healthcare. The acquired knowledge includes developing and applying practice based on scientific evidence, providing safe, effective and economical patient care, leading nursing teams and communication, mentoring nursing students and nursing team members, promoting health, ethics and nursing. 

The study enables students to deepen their knowledge in the professional and scientific field, to reflect on knowledge to connect research, models and theories and practice of nursing care for the development of the discipline and profession of nursing. They are trained in empirical analysis in health care and nursing, organizing, managing and supervising the activities of the nursing service to ensure quality patient care.
