Short description

The field of mental health is one of the leading public health problems at European Union level, with more than a tenth of Europeans suffering from mental disorders each year. The burden of mental illness presents a great loss and burden on the economic, social, educational as well as criminal and judicial systems. 

The study provides education to students for advanced holistic mental health assessment and clinical decision making, treatment of addiction, suicide and suicidal behaviors, psychiatric emergency treatment, individual and community mental health, and health psychology. The student will expand knowledge in the field of advanced practice, namely nursing science with theoretical foundations, research and evidence-based practice, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, applied pharmacology, holistic assessment of health and clinical decision making, interpersonal relationships and therapeutic communication, leadership and management for quality and safe treatment and health prevention and promotion. It also allows clear career development of a nurse in the health system and is comparable to the education of nurses in west European countries.
