Short description

The study option Integrated treatment of chronic patients in advanced nursing practice enables the acquisition of advanced knowledge in the narrow professional field of integrated preventive and comprehensive treatment of patients with chronic non-contagious diseases and critical awareness of current issues relevant to this practice. 

The study provides targeted education of students for prevention, health promotion, health education and holistic treatment, and monitoring of patients with chronic diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. The student expands knowledge and skills in the field of advanced practice, namely nursing sciences with theoretical foundations, research and evidence-based practice, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, applied pharmacology, holistic assessment of health and clinical decision making, interpersonal relationships and therapeutic communication and management for quality and safe patient care. It also allows for clear career development of the nurse in the health care system and is comparable to the education of nurses in west.
