Short description

The purpose of the study field Gerontological Nursing Care is to give students opportunities to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills in the field of gerontology and critical awareness of current issues relevant to this area. Students will get knowledge and practice on scientific evidence, which provides an effective, safe and economical care according to the ethical principles, with an emphasis on respect for diversity and vulnerability, professional communication, the ability of reflective thinking and analysis, organization and management, and integration with interdisciplinary areas that contribute to the professional and academic as well personal development.
