Project description:

The project addresses the workload of personal assistants who provide care and support for children with cerebral palsy; the mental well-being and burden of parents of children with cerebral palsy; and the mental well-being of children with cerebral palsy. Within the project, both qualitative and quantitative research was conducted. Through qualitative methods – focus groups – the mental well-being of personal assistants and parents of children with cerebral palsy was explored; through quantitative methods – survey questionnaires – the mental health status of children with cerebral palsy was examined. The data were analysed using coding and thematic analysis as well as descriptive and inferential statistics in the IBM SPSS software.
