Excessive work-related stress, low levels of autonomy, poor relationships, and inadequate communication about organizational changes impact mental health.

World Mental Health Day takes place annually on October 10th. This year's theme is: "It's time to prioritize mental health in the workplace."

The choice of this theme reflects a comprehensive awareness of the importance and relevance of mental health in the workplace, as emphasized by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

Working in disorganized conditions can worsen employees' mental and physical health. Poor mental health among employees leads to lower productivity and higher costs due to absenteeism and turnover for organizations. This, in turn, results in greater financial and social costs for society as a whole, as pointed out by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).
