The project investigates person-centred care (PCC) competencies among nursing students and their clinical mentors. PCC is a core approach in healthcare that emphasizes holistic patient care, respect for individual needs and values, and active patient participation in decision-making. Although PCC is essential for improving the quality of care and the well-being of both patients and healthcare providers, the competencies related to PCC among students and mentors remain insufficiently explored.

The aim of the project is to identify factors (such as professional values, satisfaction with the field of study, and perception of the nursing profession) that influence the development of PCC competencies and to validate the measurement instruments used for their assessment. Standardized questionnaires and statistical analyses will be used to determine key associations. The results will support the development of targeted educational interventions, the adaptation of measurement tools for practical use, and the promotion of a person-centred care culture in nursing education and clinical practice.
