Three activities will be carried out in the pilot project:
-
Development of digital teaching materials in the form of interactive videos for the first-cycle higher education study program Nursing in teaching units related to nursing and the teaching unit Impact of the Environment on Health Protection.
-
Teaching professional competencies and activities in nursing using advanced technology (i.e., virtual reality) with the use of digital teaching materials in the study process in the first-cycle higher education study program Nursing, as well as for the education of the wider professional public in the field of healthcare (registered nurses/registered healthcare professionals, senior nurses, healthcare technicians).
-
Raising awareness and learning about environmental determinants of health using advanced technology to educate students from different study programs and fields from different faculties (Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Faculty of Agriculture and Biosystem Sciences), as well as the professional public in the field of healthcare.
-
The activity "Data collection before/during/after the pilot project" will enable quantitative monitoring of the effects of introducing modern technology at the level of individual activities of the proposed project.
The project will contribute to the integration of advanced technology at all levels of education. This recommendation is based on a review of 25 European projects, which have shown that, due to their almost endless creative possibilities, they are very interesting for the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and awareness among students, employees, and the wider professional public.
