I was little under 3 months in Maribor doing my clinical practises in the hospital and have to say that the time flew really fast. In hospital I got some new skills and learned about how healthcare is organized in Slovenia. During my stay I met many new people and made some new friends from Slovenia and around the world. The hardest part of leaving was saying goodbye to those amazing people. I think Maribor is a beautiful city and just the right size for me. And it was really easy to move around the city by foot or with the city bikes. And for a quite small city (and country) there was still a lot of things to do and see (at least for 3 months). For example, I visited some galleries, museums and other attractions, skiied and ice skated, went hiking, took a spa day, played an escape room, went to cinema and much more. And the subsidized meals in restaurants with the student coupons was excellent. My Erasmus+ exchange in Maribor was definitely an experience of a lifetime. With its ups and downs. And although it’s nice to go back home, part of me stays in Maribor always.
