Immerse Yourself in Geriatric Nursing Care
Join us for an immersive learning experience in geriatric nursing care at our Interactive Geriatric Palliative Care BIP. Designed for local and international students, this program offers hands-on training through simulations, virtual reality learning, and interactive workshops.
Main Objective: Promote a better understanding of palliative care for older people and bridge cultural differences among nursing students.
Program Highlights:
- High-Fidelity Simulation Scenarios: Work in teams to solve geriatric patient scenarios, followed by reflective sessions to enhance learning.
- Virtual Reality Learning: Utilize virtual reality technology to address challenges in emergency medicine and communication with older people.
- Interactive Learning Workshops: Engage in person-centred geriatric palliative care workshops using various educational methods such as poster creation, role plays, and games.
- Educational Visits: Visit social care institutions to observe and learn about the care of older people practices and the latest technologies used to care for older people.
- Social Activities: Enjoy various social activities to enhance networking and provide a memorable stay in Maribor and Slovenia.

The accommodation reservation
Accommodation and travel costs for the physical event in Maribor are covered by participants (please check with the home institution on the Erasmus grant for BIP). The University of Maribor will provide all participants accommodation at the Student Dormitory.
